Lots of things are quite similar when it comes to Scandinavian countries. But if you take a good look you see important differences. There are many. I am thinking about the economies of these three countries. Let us start with Denmark. Let us label Denmark as a trading country, they are the true traders of Scandinavia. For centuries Danes have had proud traditions of sailing and exploring ,an adventurous past. Danes have explored Greenland and many other places. Did you know Denmark had a colony in the Caribbean until 1917.Can you imagine how happy Danish people would be if it still was part of Denmark in 2022? Goodbye to rain, dark winter months and cold wind ,hello to tropical weather and sunshine. Danes love to travel and they are pioneers when it comes to modern tourism. They are inventors of package tours, charter tourism, sun and beach tourism where you pay a small amount and you get flight tickets, hotel stay and a big barbeque included, first flights where to Spain and canary islands.Danish sailors have contributed a lot to Denmark and Scandinavia. They brought home what they liked in other countries and enriched Danes not only with goods and tales about what they have experienced but also with new thoughts and ideas.Needles to say for a small country of 5.8 million living in the north, having this sailing and shipbuilding and the  trading sector was hugely important for the development of the country and the culture. In 2022 you still see signs of this great past.

Copenhagen architecture school has played a huge part in Denmark becoming a powerhouse in the world when it comes to design and architecture.Copenhagen film school attracts students from all around the world. Copenhagen restaurant school has played a key role in Copenhagen becoming one of the culinary capitals of the world, competing and winning against much bigger cities , New York ,Milan, Tokyo, Paris , Istanbul.Denmark scores high in innovation as a society according to scientific studies researching innovation. Danes are very interested in hightech gadgets and technology, world famous for design and the inventor of the minimalistic design approach, and for making movies, and many other things.

Denmark is the gateway to Scandinavia, for many years there were no direct flights to Sweden and Norway, you had to land at Copenhagen airport as it is the transit hub for Scandinavia and the Nordic countries.Still when foreign companies target the Scandinavian market, Denmark and Copenhagen is often the preferred first stop when it comes to new products and services.  

To summarize , Danes are good traders,more familiar to the outside world,have a very good education system, good researchers and innovators. Danes are also in general more temperamental than swedes and Norwegians and more outspoken, but that does not necessarily mean a lot when we are talking about Scandinavia.
